Lot 6—Dom Perignon 2008

2008 is living up to its legendary reputation.  It is still young and in 1st phase. Be brave to breathe for 2 hours. Green Apple, hint of pepper and mint, orchard and nutty.  A long long way to run.

Lot 35—Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
Corton Charlemagne 2020

18'362 bottles produced.  Elegant while dense. The buttery and oil coating sensation is addictive. it is very shy compared with 2019 but ripe mandarin, apricot, butter popcorn came after 4 hours.  It is a combination of Montrachet and Corton Charlemagne blood.

Lot 36—Coche-Dury
Corton Charlemagne 2015

It is richer version while laser shape acidity holds this monster in one piece. Classic flinty, matches boxes aroma. Ripe yellow fruits.  Super young super fresh. 12 hours breathing is min if you want enjoy now. Power like Tyson’s punch. Drink slowly lol.

Lot 68—Domaine Raveneau
Butteaux 2014

Butteaux is more ready to enjoy among Ravenau.  2014 is a beautiful vintage of white. Peach in the front while super lemon on the backbone. Give it 2 hours if you want more oyster, sea water breeze and flintiness.  Enjoy over another 10 years at this refreshing window before 2nd phase.

Lots 119-121—Rene Engel 2004

2004 is the last vintage of Domaine Rene Engel. It is one of the best vintages. Among its cuvée, Clos Vougeot is always my favorite. if you can only pick one Clos Vougeot, it will always be the choice.  Dried berries is being formed.  Complexity is increasing.  You will be amazed if drinking along with Musigny, power and balance.

Lots 72-76—Domaine de la Romanée Conti

Nice mature Romanée-Saint-Vivant while Vosne-Romanée "Cuvée Duvault Blochet" 2020 catches my eyes as the recent vintages does show huge improvement. This 2020 has all the unique characteristics of DRC such as herb and sous bois. Very approachable while can last for 6 hours drinking.

Lots 77-115—Armand Rousseau

A composite range of Rousseau. Chambertin 2009 is what i really want to drink today.  Normally Rousseau Chambertin is not easy to open but this 2009 started to show its sexy, airy but ripe cherries, candied fruit boom.  Give proper breathing to give room for expansion otherwise its concentration will scare you away.

Lots 122-127—Dujac

A nice collection including its signature Clos de la Roche while his Bonnes Mares is special.  This 2006 is still in the beginning of its prime window. sour cherry, flowers, ripe blue berries and hint of stem. It is an elegant and lighter version.  Love the cedar and rose.
